How to set up a R4 card for your DS and/or DSi / DSi XL consoles.
What you will need:
• 1x R4 DS cartridge (where you put the micro SD card into).
• 1x Micro SD card
• 1x Micro SD card reader (comes with the R4).
Step 1:
Come to our website www.newyorknds.com, login your Account, and you will see a download link. We have the latest R4 kernel version available for customers. Insert your micro SD card into the USB micro SD card reader that came with your R4DS then plug into the computer. Simply drag and drop ALL of the files included onto the micro SD card. If on hands your microSD memory card is a used card, we suggest to format it before loading the kernel files. Use the FAT32 to format it. If you don’t know how to format a microSD card, just right click then you will see “format”. Moreover, when you drag and drop the kernel to the microSD, don’t just move the whole folder. As we need to paste the kernel files to the root directory of microSD card, so double click to open the folder, then copy all the files and paste to the microSD.
